At the end of last year, the section from C20 to C24 stations of Kaohsiung LRT was opened for operations and the service area was extended to the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts and Aozihdi Forest Park. With the conditions of the 10-day Spring Festival Holidays, the influx of people returning to their hometowns after the epidemic subsided, and the good weather in Kaohsiung, the LRT’s traffic during Spring Festival lived up to expectations and reached a high volume ridership.

During the 10-day Lunar New Year Holidays this year (The night before New Year's Eve–January 8th of lunar calendar), Kaohsiung LRT's cumulative traffic reached 446,000 passengers, which was 2.46 times higher than that of the same period a year ago with the 181,000 passengers, setting a record high for Lunar New Year traffic.

From February, there will be a number of large-scale concerts in Kaohsiung and people are urged to take the MRT and LRT to attend, so everyone can travel happily and safely.

After the Holidays, the Dashun Road Section of Kaohsiung LRT will continue to intensively be under construction until its completion. From February 1, the traffic on intersections along Dashun Road will be prohibited from making left turns in accordance with the construction, reminding travelers to divert to alternative routes to avoid delaying your scheduled journeys.
