In addition to its commitment to green energy transportation, the KCLR is also mindfully designed to coexist with the surrounding ecosystem. Sustainability and ecological design are the main design goals for the KCLR. Furthermore, the greenery around the train stations and rail areas allows for integration with the natural environment, helping to beautify the KCLR system and contributing sustainably to the local urban ecosystem.

To further ensure the growth of the green corridors along the light rail and the green beautification of the city, the second phase of the light rail project is to install a sprinkler irrigation system between stations to optimize turf maintenance. Depending on factors like the weather and the growth of the turf, the maintenance work (including irrigation, fertilization, pest control, mowing, and replanting) will be carried out in a timely and appropriate manner. All of the maintenance work will help provide a more beautified environment to achieve the goal of greening our city.
