The design and construction of R11 station was commissioned to the Railway Reconstruction Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications. According to the plan executed by the Railway Reconstruction Bureau, the underground third level is M.R.T. concourse and the underground fourth level is M.R.T. platform. The passengers via the Kaohsiung station entrances enter to the underground second level to buy ticket, and via the escalators down to the third level check in and down to the fourth level board M.R.T.
The detail designs of the project had been finished and reviewed. It keeps in process of constructions nowadays, include the Kaohsiung Railway Temporary Station, Chung-Po Temporary Viaduct, the transference & rehabilitation of Kaohsiung Original Railway Station, and the diaphragm walls & station of KMRT R11 station calling for tender.

According to the basic designs negotiated by the Mass Rapid Transit Bereau, Kaohsiung City and the Railway Reconstruction Bureau and the Bureau of High Speed Rail, the underground first level is M.R.T. concourse and the underground second level is M.R.T. platform. The passengers via M.R.T. entrance enter to the underground first level to buy ticket and then via the escalators down to the second level board M.R.T. or transfer to H.S.R. & T.R. from the underground first level.
This project had been finished the detail designs and the construction of diaphragm wall. It keeps in process of KMRT R16 station calling for tender nowadays.
